SM&A was founded by John R. Schlim and Leo "Tom" McCabe in 1985 for the purpose of training law enforcement officers in Drug influence and awareness.

SM&A has taught in excess of 40,000 Law enforcement officers in almost every state and several countries.

In 1994 JohnMichael Schlim, son of John R. Schlim began the nodrugs division of SM&A. Nodrugs is the drug testing and alcohol testing division of SM&A. We provide all types of drug & Alcohol testing services and have done so since 1994.

Today SM&A is a leading provider of drug and alcohol testing services for thousands of corporations and companies throughout the United States.

SM&A provides expert testimony in several cases each year in a variety of subjects and performs private industry and law enforcement training to hundreds of students each year.
